We teamed up with Sky Creative and Dead Films to spotlight Sky Sports’ exclusive coverage of the 2025 Formula 1 season, putting the drivers front and centre in a fast-paced, social-first campaign that captures the intensity of the track and the personality, pressure, and presence of F1’s biggest stars

For the 2025 season, Sky Sports reimagined its Formula 1 campaign, shifting from a traditional TV-led approach to a dynamic, social-first strategy centered around the personalities of the sport. Featuring Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Yuki Tsunoda, the campaign focuses on who these drivers are on and off the track.

Working closely with the Sky Creative and Dead Films; Mayda Creative Director Henry Foreman led an in-depth design exploration phase with the aim of incorporating Sky’s signature red and blue colour palette as a graphic device that enhanced the explosion of emotion and excitement of live races.

Throughout our R&D process, we explored the careful use of the brand colour in combination with the driver and race footage. Glitches and light trails brought further energy and worked as neat solutions for transitioning from one clip to the next.

In our initial explorations we explored various techniques and approaches to leverage the footage and connect clips in the most exciting way.
We developed techniques that allowed us to enhance the depth of each clip with colour rather than a simple graded overlay, as well as developing colourful abstract CG motion derived from the action in the footage to maintain the pace and energy of the edits.
