The Plaid platform sits at the heart of fintech’s evolution, powering the connections that move the finance industry forward. For their 2024 keynote unveiling the latest innovations, Plaid aimed to create a show as polished, forward-thinking, and dynamic as their newest features, services, and products.
From directing talent to designing motion and virtual environments, we built a keynote experience that felt sleek, modern, and immersive. Over two hours of content, we combined live action, virtual production, design, and animation, to bring the next wave of Plaid updates to life.
With Mayda Director Devin Moss as showrunner, we aimed to shape a production where every speaker looked and sounded at their most confident and natural. Our approach focused on authenticity, ensuring live-action performances and segments felt engaging and real.
By merging speaker performances with virtual environments, we aimed to craft an immersive visual experience that pulled viewers in. Motion design added layers of dynamic energy, transforming each product innovations into something the audience could immediately understand and get excited about.
The sub-brand that Plaid created for the show was bold, modern, and elegantly simple. So the event’s design had to match. We built on this foundation to put the brand into motion in a way that complemented each speaker’s style and content, to create an event look that was felt immersive and future-facing; a Plaid brand moment.
From striking motion graphics to dynamic infographics and UI animations, we designed every frame of animation to enhance storytelling and messaging. New product capabilities were visualized in a way that made even the most complex financial terms clear and understandable.
